SLS (2-27-12)
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is perhaps the most dangerous ingredient used in skin and hair care products. After reading some reports and some articles, I learned that it is generally used for clinical testing as a skin irritant. Many labs use it to purposely irritate an animal's skin so they can later test their healing agents. I'm flabbergasted by all this information because as dangerous as SLS is, it is prevalent in the market. It's everywhere! Shampoos, lotions etc.. It is believed to cause cataracts, skin irritation, infection, and I use all these products! Instantly I asked myself, "How can corporations justify the distribution of their products that contain a dangerous ingredient like SLS?"
